Looking for a local pumpkin patch, corn maze, hayride, gourds and other Halloween activities in Chattanooga and Southeast Tennessee? Scroll down this page and you will see the all of those in Chattanooga and Southeast Tennessee, sorted by county. Some are farms, where you take a hay ride out into the field, others are elaborate farm stands with mountains of pumpkins and other activities and some are simple roadside stands. Most have loads of pumpkins to choose from. To really make it fun for your kids, look for those that have the extra activities, like a corn maze, spook house, or hayride. There is usually a small fee for the mazes (of course, the more elaborate mazes tend to charge more. Hayrides are often free. ALWAYS call before you go to confirm the info, they don't always report changes to me!

Most pumpkin patches and corn mazes usually open by mid September, some earlier! You may also like a local zombie event or Zombie Paintball!. Come 2 one half miles. It will be on the right. It is a long white building with a green tin roof that looks like a barn. Open: August-October (8 am to 7 pm Monday to Saturday, 1 pm to 6 pm Sun), November-End of Season (8 am to 6 pm Monday to Saturday, 1 pm to 5 pm Sun). Prepicked apples: over 18 varieties of apples on almost 100 acres. Oren Wooden's father planted the first apple tree over a 50 years ago. The apple house operates August thru November with apples, pumpkins, cider, homemade pies, donuts, souvenirs and crafts.

  • Mayfield Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch - corn maze, dairy farm tours
    257 Tennessee 307, Athens, TN 37303. Phone: 423-744-4866. Directions: From Interstate 75: Take Exit #52 (Mt. Verd, Athens). Travel East on 305 for 3.2 miles and turn left on County Road 378 (Tellico Avenue). Go 1.2 miles and turn left on Highway 307. Travel ¾ mile to the Corn Maze (entrance will be on the left). From Mayfield Dairy's Visitors Center: Turn left (North) on Highway 307 and travel 2.0 miles to the Corn Maze (entrance will be on the left). Open: From September 2 to October 31 on Friday from 9 am to 9 pm, Saturday from 1-9 pm, Sunday from 1-5 pm. Oddly, the Mayfield website uses a terrible design which makes it very difficult to find the information about the corm maze. Here's a direct link to the page (pdf) . There is another article that tells all about it . They have animated cows that the kids can actually milk by hand, an animal barn with a variety of animals, a tour of an operational dairy parlor showing how cows are milked, hay rides, a corn cannon, kiddie tractors (tricycles) and educational silos. Mayfield ice cream treats, snacks and drinks are available during the week. Hot dogs, hamburgers and concessions will be available on the weekends. The maze will be open during the week for school groups with reservations and to the general public on weekends.
