Looking for a local pumpkin patch, corn maze, hayride, gourds and other Halloween activities in Southwestern Kansas? Scroll down this page and you will see the all of those in Southwestern Kansas, sorted by county. Some are farms, where you take a hay ride out into the field, others are elaborate farm stands with mountains of pumpkins and other activities and some are simple roadside stands. Most have loads of pumpkins to choose from. To really make it fun for your kids, look for those that have the extra activities, like a corn maze, spook house, or hayride. There is usually a small fee for the mazes (of course, the more elaborate mazes tend to charge more. Hayrides are often free. ALWAYS call before you go to confirm the info, they don't always report changes to me!

Most pumpkin patches and corn mazes usually open by mid September, some earlier! You may also like a local zombie event or Zombie Paintball!. After Halloween, find a Christmas tree at a local Christmas tree farm (and enjoy a bonfire, smore, hot chocolate and free hayrides, and often Santa visits! Directions: 25 miles south of Garden City, 5 1 2 miles east OR 9 miles north of Sublette, 5 1 2 miles east, W of Montezuma On US 56 To KS 144 west 12 miles, north 3 miles east 1 2 miles.     A visitor writes on October 19, 2008: "We went and there is an admission fee... $2 for adults and $1 for children. There are many mazes and a pumpkin catapult. There are 300 kinds of pumpkins, gourds, watermelons, etc... They are open 2-6 Saturday and Sundays. It is located about 5 miles north then 5 miles east from sublette. It is marked off of highway 80, between Sublette and Garden city. They have a 5 acre maze in a corn field (this is the only thing that costs extra, 4 per person) and different levels of hay bale mazes. Its fun for all ages. they have people in tractors to help you get your pumpkins to the front. They take cash and checks. Its huge!!!
