This page provides a
detailed list of Huntsville and surrounding counties's pumpkin patches, corn mazes, hay rides
and other Halloween farm stuff!! Just scroll down this
page! Some are farms, where you take a hay ride out into the field, others are elaborate farm stands with mountains of pumpkins and other activities and some
are simple roadside stands. All should have loads of pumpkins to choose
from. To really make it fun for your kids, look for those that have
the extra activities, like a corn maze, spook house, or hayride. There is
usually a small fee for the mazes (of course, the more elaborate mazes
tend to charge more. Hayrides are often free.
ALWAYS call before you go to confirm all information, they don't always report changes to me!
We have loads of related resources
here, too.
On our Pick-your-own website, we also have pages with our own
simple
instructions on canning, freezing and drying many other fruits and
vegetables, such as how to make jam, apple
butter, applesauce, spaghetti
sauce, salsa, pickles,
ketchup or freezing
corn (these links open new pages, just close them to return here). Be sure to come back at Christmas if you are looking
for a cut-your-own Christmas tree farm!
Look at the bottom of the page for links to resources on home canning, picking
tips, recipes, etc..
I'm always looking for
more to add and feedback about any patch, stand or farm you have visited, so write me using the
Feedback
form! And if you have
a farm and want to add it or correct the information, please click on
Add My Farm!
Back to Alabama's main page
Remember: ALWAYS call (or follow the link to the farm's own website, if the name
is a blue link) to confirm the information before you go! They may close,
run out or change events, times, etc. without notifying me!

2009) A visitor writes on October 11, 2009: "Hi, I just
wanted to let you and your readers know that my family and I
attended Misty Hollow Farms and were extremely dissappointed with
our visit. The "Pumkin patch" was not even a real patch, it was just
pre-cut pumpkins sitting together in a small clearing. There was no
hay in the "Hay ride". The "waterfall" could hardly be called a
waterfall it was barely trickling water. By the way it had just
rained the previous day! There weren't any good/clean restrooms
available. There were no "refreshments" despite having
advertisements for such. There were no inflatable slides just a
small piece of plastic on the side of a small slope. It was very
junkie and cluttered. When I asked for a refund for the rock climb I
was told they didn't have any change! Well I guess that sums it up.
I hope this will save others who read your site from a big
dissappointment!!!!! P.S. All the others who were there with us
expressed the same feelings that we were experiencing." (UPDATED:
