2024 Pumpkin Chunkin Events and Festivals
2024 Pumpkin Chunkin'!
This page provides a best available detailed list of pumpkin chunkin',
pumpkin catapult festivals, pumpkin chucking; whatever you want to call it, it's
airborne pumpkins, shot out of cannons, trebuchets, and catapults to get the
greatest distance and splat!
ALWAYS call before you go to confirm the info, they don't always report changes to me!
The dates provided give an approximate - but click on the link to the event's
website (or call) to find out this year's exact dates!
For pumpkin festivals, see this page and for
pumpkin weigh-offs, see this
page! You can find the largest pumpkin details here along with where the
pumpkin weigh-offs are held.
Also see your state's page for pumpkin patches, corn mazes and pumpkin festivals held by individual farms.
Check the dates next to the listing. Things can happen at the last minute, so it is
always a good idea to call to verify this year's date (I have a hard time
tracking these guys down, and they rarely provide any information online
BEFORE the events...)

fun-filled STEM festival at a university campus. Contestants use the principles of STEM to build
trebuchet machines that send pumpkins high in the sky and towards targets that line the field. The team
with the highest score wins the Pumpkin Launch trophy! It isn’t all about cheering on the stem-topped soarers, though. The FREE Event provides hands-on activities for students and families to design and
build their own launching devices, test their machines and enjoy some mini competition. Plus,
enjoy some of OC’s best food trucks, have a bite and keep your energy up.
