farms, where you take a hay ride out into the field, others are elaborate farm
stands with mountains of pumpkins and other activities and some are simple
roadside stands. Most have loads of pumpkins to choose from. To really make it
fun for your kids, look for those that have the extra activities, like a corn
maze, spook house, or hayride. There is usually a small fee for the mazes (of
course, the more elaborate mazes tend to charge more. Hayrides are often free.

A visitor writes on September 19, 2010: "Had
a very nice visit today. Highlights include apple cider slushies
(delicious!) and feeding the goats and donkey. Donations for feed go
to the local humane society, so it is fun AND a worthy cause. Only
two varieties of apples were available to pick your own, but there
were LOTS of apples. We took picnic blankets and had a lovely
picnic. There is a hay bale maze. Home make doughnuts are available
in October during pumpkin picking season.

advanced that far!!! From the Kroger Shopping Center in Appomattox,

country store on the right, turn Right onto Oakville Road. Go 2
miles, and Village Gardens is on the Left.
