Looking for a local pumpkin patch, corn maze, hayride, gourds and other
Halloween activities in Southwest New Jersey? Scroll down this page and you will see the
all of those in Southwest New Jersey, sorted by county. Some are
farms, where you take a hay ride out into the field, others are elaborate farm
stands with mountains of pumpkins and other activities and some are simple
roadside stands. Most have loads of pumpkins to choose from. To really make it
fun for your kids, look for those that have the extra activities, like a corn
maze, spook house, or hayride. There is usually a small fee for the mazes (of
course, the more elaborate mazes tend to charge more. Hayrides are often free.

A visitor writes on October 30, 2009: "I took my
15 year old son to this farm at 2 pm on a Friday. Even though we rode
the hayride out to the pumpkin fields with mostly toddlers, we still
has a great time. There is plenty to do, areas to sit, picnic, etc,
and the pumpkins are a fixed price (rather than "by the pound") and
very reasonable. The evening "haunts" are apparently quite
frightening, and we intend to go back for those....but the hayride
was well worth the $3. We also stopped at Springdale Farms and
Johnsons Farm in the same area, and this was our pick by a mile.
Very friendly, reasonably priced...a great family time!"

A visitor
writes on October 21, 2012: "They sell tons of produce and
locally grown fruits and vegetables. They also sell all kinds of
muffins, cupcakes, cheesecakes, etc that are baked right behind the
counter in the kitchen. They have candies, honey, cider, and a lot
of other offerings! The country kitchen store has a lovely old world
charm feeling and smells amazing! They offer a hayride to feed the
cows and a pumpkin patch as well. We visited Mr. McGregor's on
10/20/12 and it was our first time as a family going on a hayride
and pumpkin picking. The hayride which lasts about 45 minutes is the
real deal and pulled by a good ole' John Deer tractor. We were taken
to the pasture to feed the cows some corn. After the feeding, we
hopped back on the trailer and were brought to the pumpkin patch
which was awesome! Not horribly muddy considering it rained the day
before since it sits in the sun. They have such nice pumpkins and a
lot of them! Not to mention, if you pay the $5 for the hayride, you
get one small free pumpkin. However, if you chose a larger pumpkin,
they will credit the $3 towards the larger pumpkin but you don't get
the small one. We paid $2 for the hayride and then just chose larger
pumpkins and paid for them. The pumpkins were super budget friendly
at .45 cents per pound, now that's a bargain being most places are
.79 cents a pound or more. The kids all chose very large pumpkins
and we only paid about $20. Not to mention, my 10 year olds pumpkin
was 20 something pounds alone! We love this place!"
