Looking for a local pumpkin patch, corn maze, hayride, gourds and other Halloween activities in Mendocino County, California? Some are farms, where you take a hay ride out into the field, others are elaborate farm stands with mountains of pumpkins and other activities and some are simple roadside stands. Most have loads of pumpkins to choose from. To really make it fun for your kids, look for those that have the extra activities, like a corn maze, spook house, or hayride. There is usually a small fee for the mazes (of course, the more elaborate mazes tend to charge more. Hayrides are often free. ALWAYS call before you go to confirm the info, they don't always report changes to me!

Most pumpkin patches and corn mazes usually open by mid September, some earlier! You may also like a local zombie event or Zombie Paintball!. Hwy 128 thru Boonville 8 miles. Coming from Eureka: Hwy 101 - Ukiah to Hwy 253 to Boonville, right turn. Also prepicked apples, apple cider, peaches, pears, plums, vegetables. First weekend in April Apple Blossom Festival. Wagon rides thru orchards. U-pick pumpkins in October with wagon rides to pumpkin patch.

Payment: Cash, only.. We planted the pie pumpkins, gourds, winter squash, and specialty pumpkins in the field next to the shop. We will be purchasing pumpkins to put out in the fields this year. In 2016, the cost for the pumpkins will be $2/ea. We will also make a hay bale maze and a hay climbing structure for the kids. (ADDED: October 06, 2016, Suggested by a visitor)

Directions: Fort Bragg Depot is at the foot of Laurel Street. All Aboard the Pumpkin Express! Travel through the redwoods to the pumpkin patch at Northspur Station. Kids get treats on board and it is sure to be a fun day.
